Cesare Biasini Selvaggi is an independent curator, cultural manager, and freelance journalist. Since March 2017, he has been editorial director of the Italian publications exibart.com, exibart.onpaper, and exibart.tv. Since April 2023, he has been the author and host of the TV program "Stato dell'Arte," broadcast on free-to-air channel 264 DT. He is the secretary general of the Selina Azzoaglio Foundation | Innovation through Art and of THE BANK Foundation - Institute for Studies on Contemporary Painting. Since 2023, he has been co-curator of Ifis art, Banca Ifis's art and culture project.
He is the author of over a hundred essays on modern and contemporary art and catalogs, published by De Agostini, RCS Libri, Hachette, Mondadori, Electa, Skira, Silvana Editoriale, Carlo Cambi Editore, De Luca Editori d'arte, and exibart.edizioni. He has conceived and organized over 150 contemporary art exhibitions in Italy and abroad. With many years of experience as a director of the National Association of Art and Antiques Experts and the European Union of Art Experts, he provides scientific consulting for the archives of modern and contemporary artists and for the preparation of general catalogues raisonnés of their work. He also provides consultancy for the establishment and launch of third sector organizations, foundations, and cultural associations, from economic sustainability and fundraising strategies to scientific and cultural programming.
